Momentum is a wonderful thing.
The hardest part is the initial change from stationary to movement, fighting to break free of all those things that are keeping you rooted to the safe, secure spot in which you currently reside.
It requires a leap of faith because once you start moving, you will drift further and further away from that safe, secure place you have grown comfortable with and head into the direction of the unknown. As hard as it is to begin – to move that small increment to get started – momentum makes moving that bit further so much easier. It will actually be harder to stop as advancing further down the path requires less and less energy to maintain.
You will need to keep your eyes ahead so you don’t miss all the wondrous things you had never knew existed, and that safe secure spot you were so terrified to leave is happily left behind to fade away in the background.
There was nothing sinister about where you were, you needed to pass through that spot to get where you are now heading, but you know deep down that you had outstayed your welcome there long ago.
You enter new places where you are have no idea how things work, but you become a quick learner in order to survive.
You thrive in this environment, hungry to prove to yourself and to others that you are more than capable of holding your own here, and that it is not the exclusive domain to those who are perceived to be the chosen ones. Everyone is where they are because of the choices they have made, the choice to extend yourself or to sit and fester.
They say the rolling stone gathers no moss. Maybe instead of being conscious of the moss, alert those people who need to get the hell out of your way for a rock with unbridled momentum is a powerful force to be reckoned with.
Get that rock rolling.
