I am a sponge for any information I can get my hands on that will help me become a more successful and prolific artist. Through this process have found a number of useful books that have helped me immensely in terms of staying motivated, fighting through self doubt and developing the tools and practices to keep me on my path.
- The Creative Habit by Twyla Tharp
- Art and Fear by David Bayles and Ted Orland
- The Artist Way by Julia Cameron
- The War of Art and Do the Work by Steven Pressfield
- I’d Rather Be In The Studio by Alyson Stanfield
- Die Empty by Todd Henry
Every one of these books added their own little piece to the puzzle and while at the end of the day you are the one that has to actually ‘Do The Work’, there were many ‘Ah ha!’ moments and allow this work to come more freely.
